Struggling to get connected via Supercast? Try these steps.

One of our most popular subscription options is via Supercast, a third-party service we use to facilitate our premium podcast options. Supercast works by connecting your preferred player to a premium feed that can only be accessed by you. It's a great option if you don't have an iOS device, or if you prefer to listen on Spotify or other related apps.

We know many of our listeners discover our podcasts via Amazon apps such as Amazon Music and Audible, but sadly these players don't support private RSS feeds so cannot be connected. However, as well as it's own standalone audio player, Supercast supports over 10 different podcast apps. The full list can be found here.

To connect your new Supercast subscription to your player, you can follow the instructions in your welcome email. This will give you easy to follow steps and buttons, which will automatically launch your preferred podcast app. More info on this can be found here. If you've followed these steps and you're still struggling to access your premium content, there could be a few reasons why.

1) You're listening to the wrong feed

All of our premium podcast feeds are totally ad-free, and give you access to every single episode. So, if you're listening to the show, and you hear and ad or can't listen to a full episode, there's a good chance you're in the wrong place.

The search functionality on apps can sometimes make it tricky to stay on the correct premium feed, and will bounce you back to the free feed. To prevent this, we recommend you "follow" or "bookmark" your premium feed once connected.

Once connected, your premium feed will have a πŸ”’ emoji and say "premium" in the title. An example of how Sleep Magic looks on Spotify can be seen below.

If you can't locate this feed, even when following the steps in your welcome email, please reach out to our team on support@sleepiest.com who will be able to walk you through a reset.

2) You're listening on a device which isn't connected to your subscription.

Your Supercast feed can only be connected to one player account at one time. So if you want to listen to the premium feed on your iPhone, and on your iPad, you'll need to connect two separate players.

For this we recommend following the paths on your welcome email to one player (such as Spotify) on one device, and another player (such as Castbox) on the other device. We have found this to be the most common fix for parents who want to share their Koko Club subscription across two devices.

3) You're subscribed via Apple Podcasts directly, The Sleepiest App, or your Supercast subscription has lapsed.

Due to platform rules, all three of our subscription options (Apple Podcasts/The Sleepiest App/Supercast) are managed separately. This means they are non-transferable, and are billed separately. Sometimes listeners can be confused between where their subscription is, and an easy way to troubleshoot this is to look at your active subscriptions.

  • If you have an iPhone, go to your iPhone Settings > [your name] > Subscriptions. This will show any active subscriptions you have. If you have an Apple Podcasts/App subscription to Sleepiest+ or KoalaKids+ , this isn't transferable to Spotify or any other player.

  • You can also search your emails for "Supercast". If you're subscribed via Supercast, this will let you know when you subscribed, and also give you links to login to your account to update any billing or connect to your private feed. If you have a Supercast subscription, this isn't transferable to Apple Podcasts/The Sleepiest App.

We hope this helps, but for any queries, please reach out to support@sleepiest.com and we'll be able to assist you further!
